Description of Services
meta-stoat provides heritage tourism experiences focused on Canadian lighthouse history. Our services include guided tours, photography workshops, educational seminars, and related programs. Services are subject to availability, weather conditions, and site access.
Booking and Payment
Reservations
Bookings made through our website are requests for service and are subject to confirmation. A booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us.
Pricing
All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price at the time of booking confirmation will be honored for that booking.
Payment
Payment details and requirements will be specified in your booking confirmation. Full payment may be required at the time of booking or prior to the experience date, depending on the program.
Cancellation and Refunds
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled experience: Full refund
- Cancellations made within 72 hours: 50% refund or option to reschedule
- No-shows: No refund
- Cancellations by meta-stoat due to weather or safety concerns: Full refund or rescheduling at no cost
Participant Responsibilities
By participating in our programs, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal information during booking
- Arrive at the designated meeting point on time
- Follow all safety instructions provided by guides
- Dress appropriately for weather and terrain conditions
- Disclose any health conditions that may affect participation
- Respect heritage sites, wildlife, and other participants
Assumption of Risk
Our programs involve outdoor activities that carry inherent risks. These may include but are not limited to:
- Uneven terrain and slippery surfaces
- Rapidly changing weather conditions
- Physical exertion
- Exposure to natural elements
By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume responsibility for your own safety within reasonable limits.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- meta-stoat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim
- We are not liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, site closures, or third-party actions
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, and design, is the property of meta-stoat or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
User Conduct
When using our website, you agree not to:
